Welcome

Welcome to the Internet pages of the European Media Laboratory GmbH (EML).

EML is an enterprise that provides cutting-edge IT services ranging from the conduct of research assignments and the development of innovative IT solutions to consultancy and training.

The key figure in all our work is the human individual. In our philosophy, IT systems should be designed and realized in such a way that their users can relate to them as useful extensions of their own capabilities, rather than experiencing them as technical barriers requiring a great deal of effort to come to terms with.

At present our projects revolve around these issues:
  • Intuitive, multi-model user interfaces
  • Interaction and communication via Speech
    • Natural voice output
    • Speech recognition
    • Automatic transcription
    • Intelligent living environments
    • Adapting to the current environment and situation
  • Dynamic adaptation of application to
    • Learned user preferences (JUMAS)
    • Available system resources (MUSIC)
  • Mobile Applications
  • Consulting and Training
